Who We Are
We are a fellowship of believers who have trusted in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ for our salvation from sin. We join together to give praise to our Lord, and to learn and grow spiritually from His Word. We are a Southern Baptist Church, members of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Louisiana Baptist Convention, and the Carey Baptist Association.
Mission Statement
The purposes of Cornerstone Baptist Church are:
- To worship and serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:21) and to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
- To minister to the needs of the members (Ephesians 4:11-16) and others as the church is able to do so.
What to Expect
Should I bring a Bible? What if I don't have one?
We encourage you to bring a Bible, but we also have Bibles available in the pews.
What should I wear?
We have a range of people dressing differently. Some people come wearing suit/tie or dresses and others come dressed casually.Â
What is your music style?
Our goal is to honor and glorify God through our music service, as we sing songs of thanksgiving and praise. We sing a blend of traditional hymns, old-time gospel, and contemporary songs.
Do you have child care during the service?
We have a nursery available, and children are always welcomed in our services! Church is for the whole family.
Is there Sunday Morning Bible Study?
Yes! We value the Word of God and have Bible Study for all ages at 9:45 each Sunday morning.
What is the environment of the church?
We are a body of believers that sincerely love one another. We are a small rural congregation where you will get to know everyone’s name. We are real people, with real problems, but we have a real hope in Jesus Christ.
